Originally from Alberta, Canada, Dalen joined the Firm in 2020 after graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and passing the Colorado State Bar exam that same year.  Dalen is a skilled young lawyer with a wide range of litigation experience while working on insurance defense, contract disputes, and personal injury actions, among other matters.  He also handles general business matters, including business entity formation and compliance work.

Prior to joining the Firm, Dalen clerked for the Honorable Chief Judge Jeffrey R. Pilkington of the 1st Judicial District of Colorado as well as at the national law firm, Greenspoon Marder LLP.  Dalen also completed in-house corporate counsel internships at Swisslog Healthcare and TTEC in the Denver area during law school.  He was awarded an article publication as a staff editor on the Denver Law Review and held the position of production editor on the law review’s board during his last year in law school.  

Dalen received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in marketing from Elmira College in Elmira, New York.  Before attending undergrad, Dalen played highly competitive ice hockey for a number of years in Canada, the United States, Switzerland, and Austria.  While growing up around the Calgary, Alberta area, Dalen worked on his family ranch where he raised cattle and rode and showed quarter horses.  Outside the office, he spends time hiking, skiing, working out, and checking out restaurants and breweries.
